Father Didn’t Recognize His Own Child!

Can you believe this man?! Who doesn’t recognize their own kid? Well, it surely can happen.

My husband is a wonderful father to his kids, they absolutely adore him! Once they get into their toddler stage they definitely turn #teamdaddy. He’s definitely more playful with them and spoils them more than I do (he may not admit that though, ha!). He is the best daddy a kid could have in my opinion, but even the life of having so many bundles of joy can get the best of us.

By that I mean when it’s time for the day to wind down, that tiredness hits you. Hits you HARD. He tends to do better but than I during the early morning hours as far as popping up quicker when the younger ones start crying. And he did as he usually would, get right up onto his feet as soon as he heard our two year old start whining.

As I’m trying to wake myself to see better in the dim-lit room, all I could hear in a low, yet highly concerned voice, “What…who?… Who’s baby is this?”

For a second there he sincerely had NO IDEA who he was even picking up!

All I could manage to say was “What do you mean?!” He then laughed and realized he was most likely feeling a little delusional. Aside from that, I probably took him off guard by changing our son’s hair right before bed time, and he most likely forgot and didn’t instantly recognize him in the shadows of this mostly-dark room.

It was one of those moments where we both had a good laugh about it in the morning after thinking how crazy it is that happened.
